The colonial Era, Kailasagiri is situated at an altitude of 360 ft.
A charming hillock on the sea front bordering a small valley
within the city. The magnificent statues of Shiva- Parvathi are illuminated at
night and is worth seeing. Hillock is named after the Deity present on the hill,
Lord Shiva,
The Shanku Chakra Naama which symbolizes the image of Lord
Vishnu in its pristine form, fully lighted at night is visible from most parts
of the city. The park gives an enchanting view of the sea, beaches, lush green
forests and the bustling city.
Kailasagiri is a gliders paradise with excellent gliding facilities. Situated at
an altitude of 130 mts., the gliding point provides ample opportunities to test
the gliding skills of the gliders.
Attractions
Shiva Parvathi :The major attraction of the park is the dazzling 40 ft
Statue of Lord Shiva & Parvathi facing Bay Of Bengal. Waterfall emanating from
the statue is symbolic of the descent of the river Ganga. This is one of the
famous landmarks of this hill top garden.
The local tale says that there was an ancient Shiva temple on the hill and it
became popular as thousands of devotees started visiting the shrine regularly.
So the hill was named after the deity.
Titanic View Point :This beautiful view pint offers panoramic view of the
Bay Of Bengal as well as the City and the Eastern Ghats. Front Elevation looking
Like ship and resembling The "Titanic" this one of the prime attractions of
Kalashgiri.
Child Play Park : Little kiddies have their time of fun in this play
park. With many rides for kids like swings, slides, will make the child indulge
in fun time.
Floral Clock :Biggest floral clocks of India, with a diameter of 10 ft.
The floral clock gives an artistic impression on the lush green patches on the
backdrop of the Shiva Parvathi statue. It stands as a land mark and attracting
huge crowds.
Food Courts :The food courts are well designed architecturally. These are
one of the many attractions on this hill top garden, All kinds of local dishes

Cable Car you can have some of the magnificent views of the town and the Bay for
